TPC-C watch

NEC have published a TPC-C result for a 32-way SMP system running Linux. This is the first big SMP benchmark I've seen for Linux. Even more entertainingly the result is 5.5% ahead of the same system running Windows and SQL Server.

The Linux system was using Oracle. Free databases have a long way to go yet.
