MS are pulling the one absolute killer feature from their next OS that would have greatly increased lock-in. Oh good.

That feature being a filesystem that was a distributed database. They've dropped the distributed bit.

err… I'm not really just commenting on every story that appears on The Register, I saw that on Slashdot first.
