The film Troy isn't a bad effort overall. It's certainly a chance for everybody in the audience to demonstrate their knowledge of the Iliad, no matter how limited, in pointing out minor discrepancies (like, er… a missing 10 year siege). The implacable god-like wrath of Achilles is somewhat tempered by the irrevocably plank-like acting of Brad Pitt. A Scots Agamemnon is very amusing, especially in full rant.
It was mentioned that slash-fic writers will have a field day reinventing all the homosexuality that Hollywood removed.
