I'm feeling quite light-headed from relief right now.

On FridaySaturday, I stupidly left my digital SLR in the Oakdale Arms. I noticed on the tube and phoned timeplease as soon as I got to Kings Cross, and he said he'd found it, and all was well with the world.

Earlier this evening I was swapping email with Steve to arrange getting the camera back, and he mentioned the model of the camera he had.

Not the same model.

What is about human physiology/psychology that means you feel queasy at times like this? I feel bad enough that I've lost something valuable through my own fault without needing to feel ill at the same time.

Fortunately, as I was reading through details of my insurance policy and had a half-written panicky and desperate LJ post, Steve later mailed me back to say that he'd actually also got my camera as well as the other one. The relief was just about as physical as the worry.

I think I'll stop taking the camera out to public places where I intend to get drunk.
