In the longer term, as technology allows, we will scrap petrol duties and VED altogether, replacing the revenue with a national road user charging system based on location, congestion and pollution (including the level of pollution of the particular vehicle).

Hm... while the environmental aims are laudable, I'm a bit concerned that they don't talk about the civil liberties implications of the government tracking every single vehicle movement in the country.
Mr Gates confirmed that the new version of Windows, codenamed Longhorn, would enable computers to process data at 64 bits per second, compared with the current standard of 32 bits per second.
