The final week in Germany was quite stressful, but reasonably successful. Got back to discover Vicky had got a job (yay! go Vicky!), so we decided to go on a quickly arranged holiday. On Monday I took Thursday and Friday off work. On Monday night we wibbled briefly, decided that going abroad was too much effort, so decided to go to the Peak district.
We had a very enjoyable relaxing holiday. I recommend the Holme Castle Country Hotel as an excellent B&B in the north of the Peak District. A variety of many pretty caves, pleasantly bleak moorland and sickeningly twee faded Victoriana in Buxton.
