Cambridge house prices are ridiculous. I'm not on a bad salary, but can only afford a 2 bedroom house in a cheap bit of town. However, they're only going to get worse (unless, of course, this is the point at which the bubble collapses and I get stuck with negative equity for the next 5 years).
It's going to be a bit of a shame to move out of the very big, well located house I'm renting. I'm looking forward to the increased independence though. My house, I can do what I like in it and to it; without worrying about landlords, letting agents or housemates. Not that I get on badly with any of the above, I just prefer a situation where everything that happens, good or bad, is my responsibility.
Ghods, we're all getting middle-aged. I spend far too much time talking to friends about mortgages, interest rates and property markets.
